Moisture Products (Mini Haul)

Hey guys. So yesterday I decided to go to CVS & buy some more hair products. Now before you start saying, "Don't you have enough?" Let me tell you was that I need more moisture products to help my hair as I still figure out my regimen.
I was planing on buying a new shampoo because the one I currently had wasn't working for my hair (turns out it had sulfates in it.) So I looked around to see what they had & that's when I saw the Neutrogena Triple Moisture products, and it was on sale too! (Buy 1 get 1 50% off) Like I said before, I was only looking for a shampoo. But I decided to get 3 of their products to see how the complete set would work on my hair.

Here's what I purshased: (Neutrogena Triple Moisture)
Cream Lather Shampoo
Daily Deep Conditioner

Silk Touch Leave-In Cream

While I was there I also decided to purchase: Luster's Scurl No Drip Activator Moisturizer. I was looking for a lighter moisturizer & I decided to try it.
Lastly, I also purchased: VO5 Moisturizing Conditioner. I needed a conditioner for my co-washing & I heard this was a good one to use.

For more info on how I will be using these products, check out My Hair Regimen.
Also, I will be doing a review on some of these.

Let's Try Moisture

Hurray for protein! I don't think protein was the answer after all...
So if you've checked out my blog lately, you'll see that I'm having the issue of dry hair. Which is caused by an unbalance of protein & moisture. When this occurs, it can lead to severe breakage... and sadly, that's what I'm going through right now. :(
In my last post, I told you guys about how I though protein was the answer to my problems, but it turned out that I was wrong. A few hours after I did my protein treatment, it seemed like my hair became even more drier. So for the past two days I've ended up have to M&S about 4 times a day (yes, that's how bad it it!)
Since protein didn't work out too well for me, I have decided to try moisture instead. Hopefully this works... or else I wouldn't know what to do nect. Wish me luck ladies!

Hurray for Protein!

As some of you may know (if you read my hair journal) I've been having some issues with dry hair lately. So today I decided to do my heavy protein treatent. And It WORKED. At first I thought my problem was not enough moisture. But after doing my research, I realized that I have high porosity. One of the ways to fix that was doing more protein dc treatments. As a result even one hour after I washed my hair (I didn't put anything in it yet) my hair still felt really soft! I will be doing this until I get rid of this problem. So stay tuned ladies because I will be doing a post on Porosity Issues soon. Happy Healthy Hair Journey!

DIY: New Growth Softener!

Hello My Beautiful Ladies! I'm coming at you guys today to tell you about something that can soften your new growth. This will help you stretch longer and it also helps to smooth down your edges!
Since this is a big bottle,
I spray it in my hand,
then apply it to my new growth.

Here's What You'll Need:
- Leave-In Conditioner (preferably a creme type, instead of a liquid one) (I used Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioning repair cream)
- Water
- Any oil that's not too thick (I used EVOO)
- Spray bottle

How To Make:
  1. Put some leave-in conditioner in the bottle.
  2. Add your water
  3. Pour some oil in there
  4. Shake it all up!
How To Use:
Before you spray this on your scalp/new growth make sure to spray some water on there first. If you don't, you may end up with the exact opposite of soft new growth!

Thin Ends... Are Not Cute.!

My ends are really frustrating me! Until I started my hair journey, I never noticed how truly thin they were. So before my old protective style was ponytails, but now I'm switching to buns. My ends really are thin... If you look at my Journey Pics, you'll see what I mean.
I haven't gotten my braids yet, but I'm really looking forward to doing so, because I just want to take a break from my hair for a little bit. I still have to remember that although I'll have braids, I can't just forget about my hair & neglect it. With braids, you still have to wash them and M&S. Because even though you can use braids as a protective styling, you can't forget that your own hair is entwined in it.

And YES, I've been getting a lot of comments lately about people telling me that I need to trim my ends. Like I said before, after I get my braids & I take them down, I will be Cutting OFF Those Thin Ends! I don't like them any more than you do.
A Quick Shout Out:
Thanks to ALL THE PEOPLE supporting me on my HJ. I really appreciate it guys!

ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion (Product Review)

ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion - A+
I bought this product about two weeks ago & I decided to add it to my moisturizing & sealing regimen. And I have to say this product is amazing. I really moisturizes and it doesn't have such a strong smell. In fact I fact it smells pretty good. The consistency is thick so you don't have to use so much. So I'm giving this product an A+

Update - Nov. 20, 2012
I no longer use this product. I now use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave-In Cream.
The reason why?: I found that this product seemed to weigh down my hair and not really moisturize it. I also didn't like how my hair and hands felt after using it (a greasy feeling). And I'm looking to use more natural products in my hair (it contains mineral oil).

Cost: about $5
Pros: Smells good, water based, moisturizes, great ingredients
Cons:  Hair and hands feel a bit greasy, weighs hair down,
